A Hudson Shadeworx Shade commercial shade structure can reduce temperatures underneath the shade canopy up to 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
Our shades are made with UV stabilized fabric, so you’ll get years of lasting color from your shade canopy. Not only does this help to resist fading, it also helps to resist fabric unraveling.
You won’t have to worry about meeting local building codes. We have on-staff engineers that will work with you to ensure your shade meet your local building codes. Additionally, you may purchase engineered sealed drawings should your city require them.
Our commercial shade canopies are much different than homemade versions. Our shade structures are engineered and designed to withstand wind gusts up to 150 mph with the fabric removed. With the fabric on, our standard wind speeds are 75 mph for sustained winds and 90 mph for 3-second wind gusts.
If you choose a shade structure with our “Quick Release Trigger” fabric release mechanism, you can quickly remove your shade’s fabric with the use of a simple wrench or a cordless drill.
Our shade structures are low-maintenance. The most important thing about maintaining your shade structure is ensuring the fabric remains tight and tensioned over time (doesn’t sag).
Our shade structures are proudly made in the USA. We have a US facility that cuts and welds all the steel needed to make the shade’s frame and a US facility that cuts and sews the fabric.
For customers in wind-prone areas, whether due to coastal storms, northern snowfalls or strong seasonal gusts – This is why we offer the Quick-Release fabric tensioning elbow with every order. This feature makes it easy to install and tighten your fabric, and just as easy to remove it when bad weather is on the way. Taking the fabric down ahead of severe conditions like high winds, snow, or hurricanes helps protect both the fabric and frame. Our frames are rated to withstand wind gusts up to 150 mph when the fabric is removed.
