Our traditional style fabric is neither fireproof nor waterproof. All the traditional fabric we use is fire retardant and passes the NFPA 701 or ASTM E84 tests. The majority of the fabric we use is also California Fire Marshal certified (with the exception of a few specific colors). Approximately 80% of water will shed off a shade structure with the rest coming through as a fine mist.
In addition to traditional fabric, we also offer waterproof shade fabric that’s available for certain models.

For customers in wind-prone areas, whether due to coastal storms, northern snowfalls or strong seasonal gusts – This is why we offer the Quick-Release fabric tensioning elbow with every order. This feature makes it easy to install and tighten your fabric, and just as easy to remove it when bad weather is on the way. Taking the fabric down ahead of severe conditions like high winds, snow, or hurricanes helps protect both the fabric and frame. Our frames are rated to withstand wind gusts up to 150 mph when the fabric is removed.
Not Just a Label, It’s Identity – Designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, our Shade Structures are an ideal addition to any outdoor space. They provide excellent sun protection while complementing the overall look of your area. Whether you’re outfitting a recreational park, a school campus, or a municipal space, these shades offer the versatility and durability that make them a smart, long-term investment. Because Life’s Too Short for Boring Labels.
